coming of age story about three friends who are all in love with each other but bad at love. two years after trying and failing to bring her mother back from the dead, burning her home down in the process, faith lancaster tries to manipulate her friends into doing another intricate potentially life threatening spell. second times the charm! if faith is a liar then regina "reggie" johnson is a vampire a thief. ever since the aforementioned house fire reggie has been hungry. the only thing that sates her hunger is magic and/or stealing energy from others. hopefully this in no way impacts faith's plan. faith = liar, reggie = thief, loren = seer. he's just vibing he's just here to bear witness.

status: outlining, ruminating thinking thoughts
this is basically my oc-centric wizards of waverly place fanfic. ok so like there are witches right. witches have an affinity for one or two things like divination, transfiguration, or glamour or whatever and to do anything outside of their affinity a witch needs to a.) do really elaborate leave water sitting under a full moon, hair from the head of the second son of the seventh daughter type of spellwork or b.) find someone with an affinity for whatever it is they need. to make their lives easier/amass power for funsies, most witches live in covens.
bryan has been groomed her entire life to be her mother's apprentice and one day lead her coven. she's an empath; basically jasper from twilight she can feel and to a very minor extent control people's emotions. but lately her power has been out of control; she's feeling other people's feelings to a debilitating degree and it is fucking with her sense of self. then the wizarding competition happens but like instead of keeping their powers the winner gets to train to lead the coven. rowan, her younger sister who has recently come out as trans, kicks bryan's ass.
our story starts shortly after this. bryan, rowan, their cousin, and some disposable human friends go on a road trip. rowan is networking with other covens in the continental u.s. and trying to figure out what is going on with bryan's power. bryan is sulking. anyways, for reasons unknown they attract the attention of an eldritch horror that stalks them across the country and starts killing their friends. is this connected to whatever's happening with bryan's power? probably!

in the latest run of the x-men title excalibur, Something was going on between apocalypse and rictor. i thought to myself what if they had nasty ritualistic magic sex. now this thing is happening.
